Sunroof warranty?

I'm really interested in installing a sunroof or moonroof in my tundra. the only question i have is - will it void any warranty? I have the toyota platinum plan warranty (100,000 miles/6 years).

Probably loose the paint warranty on the metal cut out, but then the warranty dosen't cover paint. I have the same extended warranty and plan to do the sunroof install. Only thing Toyota could void is anything directly impacted by the install, I can't think of anything. If your engine or drive train blows up at 90K are they going to refuse to fix it because you installed a sunroof? No way.

IBTundruguy2 covered the question well. Your driveline is the most important part of the truck and is covered by warranty. A bigger concern, would be the sunroof itself. I have a lifetime warranty on the install and mechanisms for my sunroof. Gives me the confidence if something wears/breaks in 2 years, I am covered. If anyone does the install, make sure you have this type of warranty, and your truck is covered at all ends. Happy Trucking!

When I had my sunroof installed I asked my service manager if the warranty would be affected. According to him, no. In fact the place that put my sunroof in does most of the dealers in my area.

The cost is typically around $1000-1200. This gives you a full featured sunroof that is built in and electric / automatic. As
noted, check out the pics from members that have them installed.
(I love the feature on my Tundra!)
