This is a discussion thread titled "Weather Tech vent visor", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I have them on my DC. they are fine no rattle or difference in wind noise, that I can tell. You must leave the windows up for a day or 2. To let them mold into to place, at least that is what I was told when they were put on. the only thing to get used to is they go all the way down to the bottom of the window in front, and takes getting use to for me anyway, They are really slim due to the in channel design. which I think looks really good. they were installed for free. they said it was tought to put on a tundra. I don't remember why they said that
Thanks for the info, With all the brands, vent shade, weathertech, wade, vent visor... Its hard to choose one. Got a guy here in town that will sell and install for 69.00, but he said the brand was vent visor? He said I could get in channel or Tape.. Anybody know where I can buy Weathertech online for a good price?
I looked on line first everyplace I found them, they were not avaliable yet for a tundra DC. I got mine from a line-x dealer for $85 installed with lifetime warranty. I had the tape on on my 2000 AC I like these a lot more

Anybody know if its worth paying that much more for them, over the Wade?
I'm about to order, but still have no clue why one would be better then the other..
I've got the Weathertech visors on my 2002 AC Tundra. I did not get the rear ones because they stick out too far from the truck. The "other visors" look cheap being stuck on with tape.
The Weathertech has a nice clean look. Just my 2 cents worth.

I've got a set of the Wade In-Channel visors on my 2005 DC. I got them from someone on ebay for around $48 shipped. I had the WeatherTechs on the front of my 2001 AC and really liked them, but at half the cost of the WT's the Wades work just fine! My biggest complaint is that the in channel part on the front drivers side broke on the 2nd window rollup. Luckily it didn't break or crack far enough down that you could see it when the visor is in place.
I did notice an increase in wind noise when I installed these. One of the comments I made to my wife after I bought the truck was how much less wind noise there was on the 2005 vs my old 2001. After installing the vent visors, the noise level on the 2005 has increased a good bit.

The wind noise is another factor, I would hate to make my truck sound like a wind tunnel.. I wonder which one would produce the most wind noise.

The wind noise is due to the way in which air passes over the visors (aerodynamics) and unless the structure of the visors are grossly different the physics of air flow will be the same and thus have the same level of wind noise....I believe this is a perception issue only not a true issue unless someone has good sound physical evidence (put each brand on the same truck and register with a sound meter)....I have a feeling you wont see any difference.

I predict you'll be very happy with the Weathertech's. The SMOKE shade compliments the window tint. I've had them on an '03 Tundra AC and now my '05 Tundra DC. Once they're seated you'll forget all about them. I've never noticed any measureable wind noise, because if I did I would have to remove them. Not sure if better pricing exists beyond www.weathertech.com where I paid $98.95 (includes shipping). Good Luck on your decision.
