Default Major Rust problem in bed between supports

I posted over a week ago about my line-X liner raising up and cutting it out to find some pin holes in the bed. I now found out that I have a major Rust problelm between the bed and the suport braces. Near the wheel wells there are 3 spots on each side which have 5 x 5 inch areas where rust is building up between the flat metal bracing and the bed. There is also a channel support under these areas. The bed actually raised up in these areas. Toyota is going to fix it for me for a $100 deductable under the used certified warranty. They will have to cut out the six areas and weld new metal in. I need to pay the bill for the liner to be re-sprayed in the area.

Anyone have that problem? I am thinking I will need to undercoat my bed to keep the repaired area and other areas from rusting more. When looking at the bed from underneath it does'nt look bad at all but it is. This problem really stinks.

Default Do it right the first time

Well, alls I can say is that one of the first things I did when I purchased my '05 Tundra was get it rust proofed and undercoated. About a week after that the Permatech bedliner went in. The Permatech liner was sprayed right over the bed bolts and drain plugs so if I ever have to have any work where the bed needs to be removed, guess they'll have to cut away the liner.
