Default 2001 And later Tundra Plastic Bed Rail Plates Where to Buy?

Hi everyone,
For those of you with the plastic rails on the side of your pickup bed there are 4 little snap-in covers. Unfortunately for me, someone decided they needed one of mine for a replacement and my area dealer is telling me they are not offered as replacement parts by Toyota. Does anyone have a part number for these or a source?
Thanks

I lost one the first day I got the truck. Went back to the dealership and they pulled a plug off the first truck they found and gave it to me. I super glued them on after that!

Thanks for the leads Flash! I called up and got Steve's voicemail but Gordon found the part number for me. My area Toyota dealer, Toyota of Melbourne, didn't/wouldn't give me a part number. Come to find out they only sell a "kit" that is the entire rail cap. The part number is 662570C010 for any of you others that might need them. Ned, The superglue sounds like a great idea! Thanks a bunch

Hey there,
You might want to check Performance Products (www.performanceproducts.com) I've seen some sets here from aftermarket manufacturers. If you can get in touch with the mfg directly there is a possibility they may be able to sell you just the plugs, if they are compatible. Just a shot in the dark. Not sure if it's worth the trouble. You would think that Toyota would have to sell these as a replacement part? Maybe not. I'd check with Steve G. to make sure. He's only a phone call (free!) or a private message away!

I replaced mine with some Bull Ring snap-up cargo rings. If you get the right ones, the plastic parts perfectly match the grey of the rail caps. They sure as heck won't come off, and are downright useful.

I also lost / got mine stolen a few weeks ago...I went to the dealer and got a replacement part that cost all of $3.70. The part is named weird, but if your parts department has a computerized parts schematic, it's easy to point out. Don't buy the whole kit. If you still can't get one, let me know and I'll send you one.

Dave
