Default Have you tried Krylon Fusion paint?

I'm still looking for a solution for the chrome strip on the '03 front bumper - thought this Krylon paint for plastic might do the trick . . .

Anyone????

Paul

I have used it and when done properly, it is extremely durable paint. However, like ALL painted surfaces on the leading edge of a vehicle, it will chip.

Paul, you may want to inquire as to what kind of paint '1TIGHTundra' used, because he took the same route. Here's a pic of what he did:

I still have aspirations of doing this mod, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Default Being done as we speak

My buddy is painting the chrome strip. I worked at this shop and know it is a high end shop. Only Jags BMW and the like. I know you could just scuff, prime, paint, and clear this chrome strip. It is not as hard as you would think. If you use real auto paint it should turn out nice. We only use High dollar paint from Europe at the shop but for the life of me I can not remember the name right now.

Thanks all - now I just need to get the time and peace of mind to tackle the job. Certainly looks alot better IMO when painted.

Will offset the T3 grill very nicely :-)

Sounds like a great idea. A concern would be matching the Tundra white color. The pic of the gray Tundra .. looks like it doesn't quite match but still looks good.

Default Done

I got mine back and it matches perfectly. This makes the front look a whole lot bewtter. I will post a pic as soon as i figure out why my computer no longer reads anything plugged into the USB Port.
