This is a discussion thread titled "TACOMA:Auto Vent Shades Help!", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Has anyone installed the In-channel style (AVS) brand vent shades on a 05 tacoma pre-runner on the main two doors? It's part#192706 I had this type on my Ranger and they interfered with my windows. Was wondering how they work with the new tacomas..
Thanks for any info
I have the 4 pc set from auto ventshade, installed in my driveway and no problems at all with interference

Thanks for all your replys! I'm gonna purchase them from a local truck store
that just opened up. He has them in stock. I will post some pics in this thread this week-end after I install them
Make sure you wipe the inside of the outer channel with the alcohol swabs really well then roll your windows up and keep them up for 24 hours to let the adhesive strips set up. I haven't noticed any noise from mine up to 75 mph. I also have the Auto Ventshade pieces.
I have Wade In-Channels on my D/C. No problems with wind noise nor window interference.

I have the wade in channels on my DC - love 'em. The only problem I had was surely user error. It was the first time I've installed them and I think I didn't push one of them up far enough into the channel and I got a small crack in the plastic after a few weeks. Barely noticable. I'd recommend them. Ditto on cleaning out the channels.
I was wondering the same as well, seems like everyone is pretty much satisfied with their purchase. I'll be sure to remember to swab with alcohol first, and make sure the vent shades are pushed up far enough.
