Default Painting a Cap

I found a great deal on a used LEER cap for my 2000 Tundra. Only problem is that its Navy Blue.

Anyone had one painted before? Looking to see how much people are paying on average for this type of thing so I can evaluate the purchase.

Thanks as always.

I painted a cap once, was for the ranger I had many moons ago. No big deal, put it on saw horses and used a scotch brite pad to scuff the surface. Wiped it down completely with lacquer thinner, then shot it with a low end suction gun.Turned out really good, me not being a paint guy. Paint ran about $50 for the whole job, but that was like 17 yr. ago.

I purchased a navy blue cap for my 01 tundra also. Unfortuantely it looked bad on my white truck. I ran around town and received estimates from $250 - 650. I ended up going to Chaz Limited ($650) because of their nation wide lifetime warranty on their paint. They took the time to do the job right and it turned out great. This is Alasaka and I have no idea what it would cost in the lower 48.

The first place I called wanted 600. I'm going to keep calling around. Sounds like its going to be just slightly more to get a new cap.
