This is a discussion thread titled "Broken Tundra Tail Light Cover", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
check ebay, that's where I bought my 05 tail lights
What are my options? It is just a crack on the lamp cover. Can I repair it with some epoxy or something or must I buy a replacement. I checked it on ebay and at dealers and it is like 80-90 USD per side! Ahhhhh....!!!! Quite a costly little mistake.
Thanks

I bought one from one of the sponsors of this website, Partznet. The light was brand new and it was $60-80 dollars cheaper then the local dealerships where I live.

Wow! Partznet quoted me 120 - 140 per side. And they said that you have to buy the whole tail light assembly which includes the wires and the bulbs. Is there somewhere that can just sell that plastic cover to replace the cracked one? Thanks.

No they won't. I also cracked the outer lens on mine and they only sold the whole taillight assembly. I know the price is high but the dealerships in Vegas wanted alot more money for the same item that I got from Partznet.

How was the installation like? Does it just involve removing the 2 bolts on the tailgate side of the lamp? Thanks

Stupid me cracked my tail light cover. Any selling or who knows where I can get that at a good price? Thanks!
And is it a better idea now since I have to replace it to upgrade to a more nice looking lamp cover?
Thanks
I have a right rear tail light assembly that's like new. I have a left assembly that has a 3/4" hole on it. It's for an '02 - not sure if it'll fit on yours, I dont know how to find out. PM me if you're interested.
There is two bolts on the side of the taillight. Remove them and disconnect the pigtail. It is a straight forward install and should only take about five minutes. Hope this helps.
