Interior & ExteriorDiscussions about the interior, and exterior of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Clear plastic bug and stone guard", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Do any of you guys remember quite a while back there was a discussion about stone and bug deflectors and even bras for the Tundras. And which worked best.
There was one guy that found a company that made clear plastic stick-on protectors for the Tundra. He had photos and the protectors mounted across the hood and the front area of the fender. The plastic came cut to fit and appeared some what heavy (or thick ) As I remember he had a link to the site where this stuff could be purchased.
I wanted to try this stuff on my wifes car to see if it might be something I then could use on the truck.
If you have amy Idea where I can get some of this drop me a note.

I have Expel on the front end of my Tundra and is great!! It's basically thick, clear, tint-like material to protect the paint. It does come pre cut but your going to need alot of patience in applying the stuff. Luckily, I had 5 yrs experience in window tinting and understood how to stretch, heat and put pressure on the film to make it stick. I've got alot of compliments on the product and highly recommend it. You notice something is there after getting really close to the paint.

I have a custom scotchcal application on mine, similar to the kit from StonGard. It was installed by a MA based detailer. He did it at my home took about 3 - 4 hours.

Tundraholic if you end up getting this stuff make sure to let us know how you liked it. Also if you applied it yourself, just how difficult it was to do.

I have it on my Sequoia and love it. I gave up trying to put it on, though, and paid a guy at AutoClearGuard to do it. They have a site at www.autoclearguard.com that shows kit prices. My Sequoia is on their site, so that makes it cool!
