03-05 grill on 00-02???

I was wondering if the front grill and maybe the front bumper of a 05 tundra fit on a 01 tundra? Both are AC cabs. Is a new hood, lights, fender needed for front grill transplant, or can I just use the 05 grill and or bumper?

Kinda.
The hood and headlights are unchanged on the Access Cab.
DoubleCab has the same headlights as Sequoia. I THINK the hood is the same, but the trim panel under the headlights is different.

TundraV8Georgia has done part of this conversion. He still has the stock chrome bumper and just installed an '03 "Ladder" grille, but removed the trim panel that goes under the headlights and stock grille.
The '03+ trim panel consists of two pieces that stop just inboard of the headlights... the grill goes all the way down to the bumper.

The '03 plastic bumper will not bolt up directly to the '02 frame. The '02 chrome bumper is attached directly to the frame, while the '03 has an I-beam style straight bumper with a plastic cover. This cover will not fit the '02 bumper.

A better way to go for the bumper would be to find an Ivan Stewart kit. That's a plastic cover that fits over the stock chrome bumper.

So an 03-05 grill would work on an 01 if you used a TRD bumper cover? Is that what you are saying? If so, those that have a TRD bumper cover could use one of these on an 01???:

You can use an 03-06 grille on an 00-02 like the one in the link however you will need the filler pieces underneath the headlights left and right of the grille.

Filler pieces? Is this a simple modification? Can you buy the filler pieces? Do you know anybody that has done this?

So if you simply swaped the one long filler piece on an 00-02 with the two filler pieces it would work? If so, does it bolt on the 00-02 hood just like it would an 03-05 hood (same size, etc.)?

Yep, when I wrecked mine last year the bodyshop accidentally bought the 00-02 grille for my 03 so I know first hand it bolts to the hood

I am getting filler pieces for 2003 tundra AC

got my front grille and front bumper painted
waiting from powder coating place for other parts.
I guess, i will see how it will turn out.. will post pictures for you guys
