Talking Custom bike rack 2005 Tacoma

Here is My solution for the weak and flimsy bike mounts that
Toyota offers. I can now transport 2 bikes without worrying about
damaging them or the truck. Total cost about $75.00.

That's some good work!!

I have two questions for you. What head unit are you running? I'm assuming an Alpine of some sort with the iPod adapter. If you are running an aftermarket head unit, what does the install look like?

EDIT: nevermind.. I read you used the iPod to car adapter.

Sick rack, looks like that took a while. I just use my old adjustable bar rack. If I gotta leave it out, I lock it in place and lock the rear of the bike frame through the bed D-ring. BTW, How do you like that Specialized 'smart' shock rear suspension? (I ride an Elseworth currently)

That a scoop on an off-road model?

RockyMounts bike racks probably saw your design and figured they better work on something to work with the track rail systems on the 2005+ Tacoma. You should marketthis because currently there's nothing else on the market except the Rocky Mounts Clutch SD that mounts to the track rail. The Toyota model is a piece of crap and actually pops out of the track when doing any kind of off-roading at all!!!
