Interior & ExteriorDiscussions about the interior, and exterior of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "sunroof", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I want to thank those who provided input that helped me make a decision to have a sunroof installed. I ended up going with the ASC 925. It really opens up the cab and provides a lot of fresh air. Thanks again.

Glad to hear you joined the "open cab" club. It gives the Tundra a whole new ride on a nice sunny day or warm night. As everyone asked, please add some pics to the body and paint segment in the photos. Will help members to see how these units look on the Tundra. Congrats on your new "mod"!

Hey David,
About 3 months later, do you still love your roof? I have been looking to install one for about a month now. Here in Charleston there is one dealer that sells ASC 925's, so I am left with no option for installing the Stratos. Are you happy with the ASC? Any noise, leaks, issues, etc? What about fit and finish of the ASC? I have seen the Stratos pics posted here, but none for the ASC. Barrack's say that they have installed several on other models (i.e. Dodge and Fords), but didn't mention Tundras. Should I be weary?
I love the sun roof. Have had no problems. The people who installed mine have been in business for 40 plus years. It is guaranteed for life. I'm sure if you have a good installer you will have no problems. Now that the weather is breaking its great riding with the sun roof wide open. Good luck!

What should I expect to pay for a quality sunroof and professional installation?
Your trucks sure look sharp!

Only additions: Waterproof seat covers, Westin nerf bars, Colgan sport bra
REMOVED: Formfit hood deflector. Loved the look but a clip went missing. Can't find one for sale without the $45 hardware kit!
Mods: 12V outlet relay "fix" to have power when ignition switch is off.
Gripes: Weak leaf springs that Toyota doesn't want to warranty, paper-thin paint, interference design motor, crappy rear mud guards that cost $78 each (local dealer wanted $100) and only last 25k miles. Front mudguards built differently! (better)
An inbuilt sun roof will cost about 1000.00 to 1200.00 depending on the installer and sun roof model. Go to http://www.mysunroof.com to find an installer in your area. Then ask for some refences on their work.
