This is a discussion thread titled "Leather in a Tacoma?", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Has anybody added Leather to an 05 Taco? Looks like its an option in the Southern region, but not in the West. Trading in my 01 Highlander and the only thing I might miss is the leather seats. The sales guy looked at me funny when I asked about adding it - like "Its a TACOMA! Why would you do that?" If anybody has done it I'd love to see some pics and get some feedback.
Someone has the liqicell ? ? factory ? leather in theirs .
I also just saw a aftermarket set of covers sell on ebay .
(not normal covers , they had to be upholstered on )
Any normal shop will re cover your seats , $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I was looking at the seats on E bay. Take a good look at the rear skins, they look backwards to me. The single seat should be on the driver's side. It isn't
I have leather seats in my Ext. Tacoma. It was a deal I worked with the dealer, as they work with a local car interior shop here for all their cars that Toyota doesn't offer as a "leather" option. I'm very pleased with it. They did the front seats, back seats (and backs), and door panels. The leather feels very heavy/thick and durable.
I WISH I had leather as the gray fabric stains easily, I find myself cringing if we eat on the go
Leather is more durable
