Default Newbie question of the day!

I'm almost too embarassed to ask, but how do you remove the skidplate? All the bolts are removed from the plate and the plastic splashguards but the skidplate seems like it's hung up. I've tried to slide it forward and back but no luck. Gotta change that oil and filter. Thanks.

On my 03 if I remember correctly I can safely remove all bolts and it gets hung up as well. What I do is dork around with the side that is closest to the rear of hte truck. Once you get that end lowered you have to angle it down and at the same time lift up on the front end. They are hung up on a "J" hook type of thin-a-mig-jig. Hope this helps, if not ask some more. Glad you got it off. I briefly remember taking my skidplate off the first time. It was also the last time I would take that stupid skidplate off. Just weeks before I did my oil change I was out messing around in the dunes and plummeted into a small hill and folded my skidplate in half. Since I knew I needed a new skidplate and would have to remove the skidplate everytime I did a oil change (every 5000 miles). I decided to buy a skidrow engine skidplate. Best money I every spent. I payed about $50 more than the OEM skidplate and it is 3x thicker (3/8 steel compared to 1/8), looks better and allows me to remove the oil filter without removing the skidplate. Way cool!!!!!
