Question Anyone have the A.R.E. cover?

I saw an extended cab with with the color matched A. R.E. on. It looked really good. However, I can't seem to be able to get much info on the cover. Emailed the manufacturer for spec and prices and got a coupon! If anyone has experience with the A.R.E., please reply. I'd really like to know how difficult they are to remove. Thanks, Stoney

Stoney, A.R.E. IMO makes one of the nicest caps. They are quality built at and affordable price and will look great for years to come. I have owned two and am looking into getting a third for my 05. I believe for a an 05 dc with tilt/slider color matched, you could expect to pay around 1500 + tax here in NY. THEY ARE VERY EASY TO TAKE ON AND OFF ! As far as specs ,sorry, cant help you there. These caps are fairly light two people easily, can take them off and on, by just removing 4 brackets. They have many options available. I suggest if you read some of the satisfied customer reviews on www.4are.com. If you haven't already. The Z SERIES sure looks nice on the tundras ! I have seen them up close . BEST OF LUCK AND HOPE THIS HELPED.

It has been some time since I posted anything so, I hope I am doing this right. I have had an A.R.E. cover on my 02 Tundra for three years now and it has been great. I have the one with the 2 way door on the back and side windows that open out, color matches my 02 Tundra and is easy to take off. The door comes down to my bubper so, I had to remove the tail gate. I took the Tundra emblems off the tailgate and put the on the topper door. It looks like it came that way from Toyota. A lot of people stop me and ask about it and I have referred them to the internet or a local topper dealer in their area. Try this web site and see if it works for you, [http://www.4are.com/]. Good Luck

Thumbs up

I too have nothing but praise for my A.R.E. No leaks, solid as a rock, easy on/off if need be (just need an extra pair of hands to handle the weight).

I have an A.R.E. LSII tonneau cover and it's awesome. It seals really well, keeps out water, and looks great. It's extremely strong... I can stand on it without a problem and I've gone off-roading with it many times and it hasn't budged. Good buy...

A.R.E is such a good cover that it is actually an available Toyota port installed option here in the southeast district. I ordered my 05 DC with it installed and I love it. I have nothing but good things to say about it and I highly recommend it if you are in the market for a cover. You can see decent pictures of mine in my gallery.

I'd like to get the A.R.E. LSII tonneau cover for an 05 Stepside. Can anyone give me a "ballpark" estimate installed? Thanks, Stoney

$800 installed here (or was it $850?)... sorta strange... I would have figured it would be the same for everyone...

I've had two ARE tops / caps ('93 pickup and '04 Tacoma), and I think they should be #1 on anyone's 'do the research' list. They were the first with a number of innovations (walk-in rear door / hatch; twin handles on rear hatch; full-function win-doors on the sides).

The ARE website can be a little confusing in its layout, but you should be able to locate most any data you want there.

The fastest way to get a brochure is to visit your local ARE vendor.

Thanks for the info. I E-mailed three of the A.R.E. dealers to ask for quotes. All are at least 100 miles away. I live in the middle of nowhere!

I have the LS11.Paid $1025.00 installed out the door.It came with the carpeted underliner and I added the keyless option. It's a nice feature. It is connected with the factory remote so it locks and unlocks with the remote.
