Default Couple of Noise questions

Ok, I know a couple of you have tracked down most of the noises and fixed them and I was wondering if you have come across either of the following.

First my brake pedal seems to creak or groan now and then.

Second, I have a click or something that occurs behind my left ear up high everynow and then. It tends to happen with forward or reverse movement of the cab. For example under acceleration the trucks frame tends to move forward first with the cab following(sorry if this doesn't make sense) or conversly when braking. Something is causing a click or something during these situations.

Any ideas. I have used the search function but didn't find anything.

Thanks
Chris

Chris,

I haven't had any pedals making funny noises, but I tend to think that the noise behind your left ear is the doors. I had the same problem and so did a lot of people. I noticed it mostly when the cab was flexed. My noise wasn't really a click though. It was more of a rattle and squeak (the doors rubbing against each other). Took it to the dealer and they adjusted both driver's side doors and lubed them. No more noises! I hope that's what the problem is.

Oh, besides the doors being "loose", for lack of a better word, both of my seatbelts were replaced because the driver's side belt extender was squeaking in my left ear and neither retracted worth a darn.

Good luck,
Andy

My brake pedal used to squeak but I lubed the actuator under the pedal with some teflon dry lube and that took care of it.

since we are discussing noise issues i figure i tell you mine

I'm experiencing squeaking noise(as if the air is leak somewhere)
i'll try to describe it here:
With all windows rolled up i could barely hear it but most of the time i can't hear it at all.. but w/ the right passenger windows dwn i could hear it.. It seems to occur when I"m driving over a speed bump or over a dip/sunken road. But wht i've notice is this-it seems to come from the rear right side (my reason for thinking this is when i'm over a railroad track or dip the rear right tire hits the track or compressed then extends and thus the sound) i dont know if this makes sense...heck the dealer can't even determine where exactly ...they trying lubing the leafs but no help..the shock looks dry...no apparent leak....

???

I have the same noise. Almost sounds like a bird chirping or something whenever I go over a bump. It used to really bother me, but I have found no way to fix it. If you have any ideas, I'm interested in fixing it.
