Red face Who has the most RATTLES in their Tundra?

I drive my '04 4X4 DC 50 miles each week on some nasty unmaintained (by the county of San Bernardino, CA) dirt roads and my truck now has about 25K miles on it and a growing number of weird rattles & noises.
1. Windshield "Clunk".....seems to be effected by temperature (colder = worse)
2. Dash rattle....seems to be on the pass side.....thought it was the UNICHIP....nope...only happens on a severe bump
3. Pass side rear seat fold down arm.....it not the screw that's loose...the whole thing inside the seat back is loose..
4. Sometimes the doors make sounds like something in the window mech is loose...
5. Rear shock....I did the mod of reversing the metal washer thing...now there's a very slight "chip" you can hear with the rear window down....can't duplicate it by bouncing the truck manually...
6. The bed actually seems to clunk once in a while...I'm gonna check all the bolts on that....
7. And the worst.....the rear springs now creak....especially when I park and get out....and I only weigh 190 LBS!

Just wondering how others that rutinly go on ruff surfaces are fairing.

Default Squeaks, rattles and groans

Well - I'm sure most of mine are all self-inflicted. Leave no stone unturned nor nary a curb jumped!

I have had squeaky rear springs since the first year I bought mine, but the dash rattles are becoming louder and my front shocks/springs squeak(which are due to be changed very soon!) and brakes calipers are rattling now. I think a good suspension overhaul will fix most - just gotta track down the dash rattle. Or get a louder stero to drown it all out!

My Tundra still seems pretty quiet to me. No off road stuff other than some gravel ones periodically. When I want a reminder of how domestic vehicles used to rattle in the sixties and seventies I take my 69 for a cruise. Reminds me of the new cars we owned in that era. Maybe I'm rattle deaf from those times.

Default I H8 Rattles

That is my biggest pet peeve. I owned a ford before so I was going CRAZY!!! My Tundra is tight and quiet. My desert truck has NO rattles and it only sees dirt. I am a pro at finding them and stopping them. My friend has the same desert truck and rides in mine and says "It's like we are driving down the street. There are no noises!" My other friend had a rattle in his 04 D-cab and I found it was his wheel lock in the glove box.

With the rear suspension squeak, all you need to do is to spray lubricant like WD40 between the leafs, around the shock connection parts, etc. Let it sit a couple of hours, and the squeak will be gone.
As for rattles, my bench armrest and the windows when they are down, are the only issues.

Yeah, my bench armrest rattles too when it's down. It's fine when I put it up. It's not what's in it either. I emptied it out and still heard the rattle. Drives me nuts sometimes, but other than that mine is pretty tight. I can have a conversation with my wife whispering at 70 MPH.

Default Rattles

okay I have rattles in the arm rest, doors, squeeky and creeking springs, shocks in the rear, a nasty clunk in the balljoint, the tranny in drive hums and squeels, guess I should slow down for those potholes. And as a fact I don't think anyone drives around here in washington the way I do in my truck on the road or off the road, I'm on the curbs to pass cause lets face it I got places to go (lets go people, that lights' not going to stay green forever)

So I guess I'm paying for it now, in the squeeking rattling, humming sounds that I hear every day now. time to trade it in

I have that too.
But I also have the leaf springs squeaking/creaking. I used spray silicone and it lasts for about a month and then its back squaking/creaking. I also have the cupholder that pops out of the console that rattles.

yeah, and it makes snapping sounds like its going to break too , and I'm waiting for them to send to a letter, can't do anything without it toyota (corporate) tells me dealerships have limited parts, so I'm NOT offroading the truck what so ever in fear it will snap if I romp it hard enough, plus its embarassing hearing it squeek and crank though the turns and going up hills, but Its still fun offroading , just scary knowing I can have it break , so I'm taking it easy for now.

I think the bottom and top rubber grease packs split and have been leaking since almost the time I got it (after 5-7000 miles) now has 32,500

My 07 double cab squeaks where the dash meets the windshield just above the steering wheel whenever I go over uneven ground, even pulling out of driveway. It is much worse on a cold day...at least I live in El Paso.
