Are there drain holes at the front of the box?
I have the Toyota (dealer installed) plastic bed liner on my 2003 Tundra. The problem is that when I park it in the rain the box fills up with water. This is sometimes a problem when we're out camping because I usually have firewood and other general camping stuff in the box of the truck that ends up sitting in literally several inches of water. I am wondering if there are drain holes in the front of the actual truck box under the box liner. If so, I was thinking of drilling or cutting a few holes at the front of the box liner to allow the water to drain out.
I just went and looked from underneath and it appears that there is definetly some type of drain, a metal cap with holes installed into the box with a rubber gromet? Can anyone confirm how this drain fitting works or comes out? I was thinking of pulling it out from the bottom and drilling up into the box liner that way.
Has anyone ever removed one of these plastic box liners, it looks like it is tucked in there pretty tight? I used to remove the one from my previous vehicle every few years and clean out underneath it. I guess I'm probably over due for that on this truck.
