Chrome is sort of a different "animal" for us. I would scuff the surface as usual and then MAYBE apply XPM, which is a special LINE-X primer. I'll send a PM.

Update on Xtra for color matching. The product availability date for LINE-X dealers is 7-15-06 and I'm told that's a firm date.
LINE-X dealers will have to have pigments added to Xtra at Dupont paint stores. The Dupont stores will need to update their color databases in order to service LINE-X dealers.
I am considering an 05 dc tundra, it has a Rhino lining installed. Have not seen it yet, but eventually I want it to be line-xd (I like the finish of line-x vs the rhino). How much does it add to the cost to strip the bed, also, is the line-x finish as nice as if it were installed directly over the stock paint?
Don't worry about putting the line X over paint. I think that stuff would stick to almost anything. And remember our truck beds are allready painted before we buy the truck, so the line x has been applied to many painted truck beds and I have not herd of one peeling off yet.
I recently also bought a Tundra. I got a reg cab long bed(8ft). Can you pm me with the usual price for line-x and xtra? Also, do you know if anyone in CA (near LA) that does xtra. That would be fantastic.
I think your best bet is to call LINE-X Corporate (Santa Ana) at 1-800-831-3232 and ask them if they know of a dealer in your area that's Xtra certified. If that doesnt help, go to Line-X spray in truck bed liner - ultimate truck accessory and use the dealer search function on the page to find the dealers in your area. Give them a call directly. I'll PM ya...
Dealers are franchises and are free to set their own prices. I'll be happy to tell you what I would charge but I'll have to send you a private message.
