Default Question for Line-X owners

A month or so ago some of you guys were recommending line-x over the rail (remove protectors, spray, put back on rail protectors) vs the under rail version. I was going to go ahead and have mine done today but they told me they had never done it this way and were unsure if they could do it and recommended under the rail instead. I told them I knew it could be done as I had talked with some of you guys that already had them put in this way.
Those of you whe were recommending this, could you please send me your dealer's name/number so I can pass it on. Maybe if they talk with your dealer he can instruct them on how to do it. Also, they can remove the bed bolts and not spray over them, but not the tie downs in each corner. Why can't they just remove them, then mask over the holes, let bed dry
and then reinstall?

Thanks, Fletch

Interesting . . . mine sprayed over the bed bolts, (But filled the holes with paper before spraying so they could be easily removed!), and removed the tie downs in each corner and the bolts that hold the cover on the inside of the tailgate. (???)

Mine did the same. They sprayed over the bed bolts and removed the tie downs in each corner and the bolts that hold the cover on the inside of the tailgate. (???)

I have the OTR spray on but, not bed rail caps. The dealer also removed all the bolts and tie-downs. If he had not done that, I would have had a hard time removing the bed bolts to bolt down my truck box.

Post Removal of hardware

The Line X dealer in Irvine, CA that did my bed & rails removed all of the bolts and tie downs. This made for a sanitary looking installation. PS: my truck is a 2000, so I did not have factory rail caps.
