Default Re: Installing Overhead Info Console

New to the web site, after reading all the info, i thought i would throw in something new, i have a 04 tundra limited, with the overhead console that has distance to empty, mpg, compass, air temp, homelink. no sunroof, no entertainment packages. Part #83290-0c021, i am looking for a replacement! some jack leg installed an alarm and fried some stuff, (i got that truck this way, really great deal) but after replaceing bcm, overhead console still dont work. are the Bcm and overhead cosole networked? I dont want to spend the 511.00 to fix it, are there other parts numbers that will work? Maybe get it a lil cheaper. any help would be great, I will send pin outs for mine tommorrow maybe it will help the rest of you. please send any questons you may have.

Thought I would try to revive this thread to see if there is any additional information now.
I installed the overhead console from a Sequoia in my 04 DC Tundra. The Homelink works, but not the thermometer, or the compass (it just always says North).
So, I was wondering if anyone knows how to make the Sequoia console work properly in a Tundra?

I put off installing the wiring until this weekend since I knew I had a Sequoia console. I bought the console months ago and remember needing to change a couple of the wires in the console's plug because they didn't match the three in my console's. That had to be just the lights though.

Haven't tested much yet. I do get the 3 dashes for temp. quick trip to the convenience store and the compass only went from N to NE.. was disappointed and hit mode 'til it turned off. Turned it back on during the trip home and it started working. hopefully it will keep working.

Seems like the temp would just be a couple of wires being in the wrong location in the console plug. I'll post if I ever get it working fully.
