Default Tundra Loft/Carpet Kit Design for Road Trips

In the "road trip" thread, I was describing the carpeted loft I built in the back of my Tundra for storing lots of gear and sleeping on a plush carpeted floor in the truck (without having to re-arrange all the gear).

There was some interest in seeing this design so I have put together some photos and info on how I designed and built it. The info is all in THIS LINK (click here).

Here is what the finished carpeted loft looks like...

Hope this is useful!

Basically a homemade carpet kit!! Great job!! If I had a shell, I'd be all over your loft!!

Default Who Makes Your Shell

The shell on your truck outlines the look of the truck perfectly, and seems real high quality. What brand and model did you get, as I am looking to add a shell to my truck also!?

Thanks for any info!

I think its a Snugtop xv shell. It looks pretty much identical to mine. After almost a year, I have no real complaints about it, and you're right - it does match the lines of the truck beautifully. Good looking truck, August!

It is indeed the snugtop XV (nice call breakmark, escpecially since I had the shell shop remoive the snugtop sticker on the back window!). It fits great and has worked well since I tightened some screws on the rear window latch mechanism.
