Question can't change or reset the trip meter

Just realized when trying to read my odometer that the meter is apparently "stuck" on trip meter. pushing it in does nothing. anybody have an idea? dread going into the dash instrument cluster. sounds mechanical. the stem will push in a bit, but does nothing. tnx for any help!!!

Glad you got it working. Sorry if my answer seemed simplistic, but I have seen people just pushing over and over without holding it in and it won't reset.

I know what you mean. Mine would do nothing holding it in or pressing it repeatedly. weird. guess there's an explanation, but i can't figure it. by the way, mine won't come on momentarily by pressing and holding when the ignition is off like some say theirs will. thanks again, Johnny
