Replacement Seat Cover for 06 Scion TC

My boyfriend owns a 2006 Scion TC. Recently, I wore a studded belt into his car. One of the studs caught onto the seat and now part of the seat is a little fuzzy. It's a brand new car, so you can imagine that he's not very happy with me. It's not too bad, but being that it's a brand new car, I was wondering if I could buy a replacement seat cover. I know very little about cars and I don't know where to go to get one that matches. I also don't know if that's all that I have to replace. Do I have to replace the seat cover, or the whole seat? If someone could help, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Trisha,

I kind of feel like "Dear Abby" answering this, but no one else has so I will. I'm sure that only the cover needs to be replaced not the whole seat. You would need to take it back to the dealer and get a quote.

Can this old man give you a couple of thoughts about this? The people that visit this site really love their trucks and cars but I think that most would agree that it would be really unreasonable to even think of letting a girl friend pay for a repair that was the result of an accident.

If your boyfriend makes an issue out of this or even considers letting you pay for a new seat cover, I'd look for a new boyfriend.

Say you're sorry, give him a kiss and that should be the end of it!
