Default control panel lights

maybe it is my imagination but....where the 3 dials are for the air cond it seems the right side is well illuminated but the left side is not. Like a bulb on the left side has burnt out leaving the left side to be illuminated by the right bulb. Shoot i dont even know if there is two bulbs in there. Has anyone got behind this panel and know? If so...what were your steps for getting back there. Dont have a book yet and am new to this. just did my first mods ever today....and they were the simplest....map lights and side window arms. working my way up....ha

Tks.

I dont think there are lights back there at all....if there are mine need to be replaced. But to get back there there are 2 screws in the AC vents above, and 3 behind each knob.

There are 3 bulbs back there in a 2001 Tundra.
Remove the 5 screws show in the attached pic.
Turn the piece you just removed over and there will be 3 light bulb holders in the white plastic piece at the bottom where all the wires connect.
Twist them and they come out
pull the bulb gently and it comes out for replacement.
Push new bulb into place and re-assemble

If I am not mistaken, they are 194 bulbs.
The a/c knobs just pull off. A screw driver may scratch them. Be careful and just pull harder.
Any auto parts store should have it.
