today i replaced a bulb behind the a/c control on the instrument panel. the bulb i was replacing had a green condom on it that gave the light a green tint. it was standard toyota issue. the auto discount store i went to today had never heard of them. i know this is a minor issue but i would like that bulb light to match the others....where can i find this??
moving to the exterior. the mount for my antenea is loose. i tried removing the panel (in the crack where you open the door)....but getting my fingers in there was near impossible and there seemed to me a metal mount i would have to unscrew before even seeing where the antenea is mounted. it appears to me to need a tightening...when i drive the wind with blow it back. any ideas on how to fix this.
Your antenna isnt loose. its warped and the antenna assy has to be replaced.
I can get you the green bulb cover and the antenna if your interested.

you see the green condom actually tore when i took it off the other bulb.....reusing a torn one? that would be pushing it. toyota dealership said i could find them maybe at autozone.

you could try putting a little dab of clear silicone on it, the tear that is. its kinda getto but it should work.
of course i wouldnt try that with a real condom.
