Last week I was trying to get out of my truck and I pulled on the handle same as always but nothing happened, so I lowered the window and got the door opened by using outside handle.
Has this ever happened to any of you?
Any ideas on how to fix?

sounds like the little plastic clip that holds the door lever rod either broke, or came off. you will have to pull the door panel to reattatch the plastic rod clip or replace if broken. the part is cheap, its just a pain in the butt to fix.
btw, check to see if there is any evidence of someone attempting to slim-jim your door. broken clips are always a sure sign that someone may have tried to jimmy your door.
a local auto locksmith can prolly do the repair for you for like $20-40 bucks, if you drive to them, takes about 30 mins or less..

Usually when the inner handle stops working and all the little clips are ok, then it is the small springor bushing inside the latch mechanism that either breaks or comes off.
