Interior & ExteriorDiscussions about the interior, and exterior of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Line-X vs Rhino lining", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I'm having a Line-x put in my truck right now. I got to compare the Rhino lining side by side with the Line-X. I actually really liked how soft the RL was, it seems like it won't let anything slide around in the back of the truck. But, it didn't seem that it would stand the test of time like the Line-X would. But, to me, it seem the Line-X will let things slide around more than the RL would. But in the end I got the Line-X for a couple reasons. It seems more durable, and I plan on having engine blocks, bikes, motorcycles, yard work, lumber, ect, in the back of the truck so I wanted a rugged liner. Two, it came so highly recomended from TS and SCT. Three, it was $40 cheaper than the RL. And finally four, they would install it today.
From what I could see/feel, both are great liners. It seems just personal preference.

Congrats! If you did not opt for Xtra, Nason, or Ultra Shield, then buy some Just Once (www.justonce.com) or 303 Aerospace and apply it on the bedliner to keep it looking brand new.
I'm in So. OC.....where did you have the Line-X done? Would you recommend them? Price? I'll send you a PM also.....
thanks for any info
I'm in CM, but I went to Santa Ana to get it done.
They are located at:
1540 S. Grand Ave
Santa Ana, CA 92705
Phone: 714-647-9322
They did a good job, had it done quickly, and they work on Saturdays. I paid $450 for the Line-X and the top coat UV protectant. He also gave me some free T-Shirts and stickers.
My GF's dad has the RL on his truck and he put a bunch of Flat Head motors in the back and they cut the RL up. For his application, it's good. He carries a lot of large, heavy, finished engines. He doesn't want something like Line-X because the linex would scuff the engines up when put in the truck. The RL gives a lot, and will unfortunately cut. But, it's all about what you need from your truck. I wanted a heavy duty all purpose lining that would stand up to the sun. Line-X does that (from what I've read).
