my front windows are like 25% and i think my rear windows are somewhere around 3%. I have never really had any problems getting inspection stickers. I always just roll my windows down whenver i pull in at the place i get them. I don't know if those ole country boys would even care if i didnt roll them down, haha. I know that every now and then cops give people a hassle, but that is usually if they have like 5% on the fronts.

my truck is registered in louisiana and I actually got pulled over , because I have 5% on the front windows. $97.00 ticket. I usually roll my windows down to get an inspection tag, but last time they asked me to roll them up, I just told them that it was 40%, and they either believed me or didn't care, but I usually just keep tryin different places until I find one that oversees it.

I just asked a local cop a few days ago for the legal limit for where I live.....70%. He said basically what's on the window now (there isn't any!!!) What a load of crap!! I would imagine 35% wouldn't be that bad. D*^m small town cops!!! The guy was a real d!ck too. I guess I have to find the cop that knows my dad then ask her how much it is

States have different rules, so it helps to know what your state mandates.
I had 30% up front and changed over to 10-15%. Yes, I use a special station for inspection. Get stopped. Follow the basic rules. Roll your windows down before the officer approaches. Open the sunroof if it helps (and you have one). Turn on the interior cablight, if it is night. Sit still and do not move around in the cab. You can get your info when he/she asks for it. Remember, the officer does not know if you are a threat, or just a truck mod fan. This also assumes you are legal with license and tags and not a potential DUI. Most cops are very fair and only concerned with safety, which they deserve. I have been stopped, but, never had a problem following the rules and never got a ticket. I did get asked in 1 stop, how I did some of my mods, because he was a new Tundra owner.

Some may prefer compliance to be sure, but, I wanted the Toy to look right. Use your judgement for your area.
