Default Tundra and truck campers?

Has anyone found a hardside truck camper to fit their Tundra?
I have a 2000 Tundra/ Access Cab four wheel drive. I can find a lot of truck campers, but most of them are over the cargo rating. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

I saw this camper on a Tundra over the Labor Day weekend.

mccleamf,

I've postede a few times about hard sided campers on Tundra's. I've had a chance to put two hard sides on my 2001 LTD 4x4, both fiberglass, not pop-ups. The GVWR is the biggest limitation. Please do a search on "campers" and see what you come up with.

I'm happy to relate more of my experiences if you have more questions.

Joe

Default Tundras and truck campers

Thanks for the feedback. I did find one camper that looks good,
weight wise and options for the money. The site is www.camperking.com. One problem for me is that they are in Vancouver, Canada. A little far away from Tennessee (2500 miles). For you folks on that side of the U.S.A. you may want to take a look. I have exchanged email with them several times and they seem willing to help.

It is a hardside camper with flushable toilet, air conditioner and etc. . The dry weight is 940 pounds. Plus another 100 for the air, water(lbs), passengers(lbs) and so on. I like the camper, but if you do the math, you are still right at the max cargo weight for the truck.I am not a fan of having the truck maxed out. Like everyone says it is hard on the equipment and potentially unsafe for humans.

I really like the Tundra. I started out with the grandfather of the Tacoma in '88, went to a T100 (thought I might find a camper for this one too) and now the Tundra. Maybe one day they will build a BIG truck.
