Can you finally get the Tundra Limited in the Stratosphere Blue? The brochure seems to indicate you can, but I can't find one in an inventory search. Why the hell does Toyota do stupid stuff like that with the colors? I've never understood it. Also, does the Leather interior come in any color other than oak? Again, the literature seems vauge on this one.
Dealers get allocations of colors based on predicted regional desire. Factory Leather - Oak only. Some distributors (Gulf States and South East do a lot of PIO Leather in many colors). Some dealers can set you up for aftermarket leather.
Thx for the info. I realize what they get in stock is based on predicted demand, but what I meant about the color is why they dont make the Limited in all the colors. Just doesn't make sense. I'll probably wind up going cloth anyway since that simulated wood that comes with the leather is the ugliest crap I've ever seen. People actually like that stuff? I think Toyota should offer real wood as an upgrade and dump that garbage.
Sorry tbecker, the '03 Limited does not come in Stratosphere Blue (8Q0) or Silver Sky Metallic (1D6).

I must love UGLY......I know I don't like crap though. So why give people your's?
It was not my intent to bash your truck, but my opinion stands. You are, of course intitled to you own. Glad you like it. Plastic wood just isn't my bag, baby.
Thats why they offer it only on the "limited". Only a "limited" number of "fools" like me have no taste and absolutely love the fake wood! Fake wood has no class next to say "plastic"???

Uh, the fake wood IS plastic. At least the plastic isn't trying to be something it's not
"Hey I got that fake granite-look dashboard on my '05 Tundra!"
Some things, like wood, (fake or not) are IMO not meant to be in cars. Give me real carbon fiber, brushed aluminum, steel. I like the look of 'technology'. I wouldn't like plastic painted to look like aluminum or carbon fiber. Like tbecker said, dont make something into what it is not. I would want the real thing! I don't want my truck to look like a 'Luxury' car, where it seems they use wood more often. It's a TRUCK! I want it to look like the technologically advanced, fire-breathin', bad a$$ machine than it is!
With that said, to each his own. Everyone is different. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but just stating why I prefer one thing to another.
Well after having cars with Real wood and having to take care of that crap I will take fake wood anyday....personally I would like some fake aluminum myself. Well I am going to go look at some fake Boobs now
I've got that nasty fake wood in my truck. Unfortunately I had to settle for it. My 2002 LTD, TRD Tundra was a "leftover." I got a really good deal but settled for leather (which I didn't want, as well as the wood). Do you know of anyone who carries and aluminum dash insert or even carbon fiber. Just something more "truck like" then simulated wood?
