yes can anyone give me info on rock sliders i am going to try to fab my own but would like to know if anyone has tryed it so i could learn from there mistakes/gain knowledge of ! thanks
That is an excellent resource Dyogim posted. I like his design as no tube bending is needed. In fact, he is fabing a set for us as we "type". You can buy them from him as a kit and do the welding yourself if you like or borrow his design, get 10 ft of 1 1/2" sq tube (1/8) and 40 ft of 2" sq tube (also 1/8 or maybe 3/16), some 4x4x1/4 plates, some spare metal for gussets, a good chop saw to cut precise angles, a 100 amp welder (arc or MIG), about 2 days free time, and you will be set!!!

I have a set of HD sliders from Kong's http://www.kongs4x4.com/.
They are 82" long and are made from 3/16" rolled steel tubing. I also reinforced the frame by welding a 1/4" steel plate to the outside of the frame and had the holes cut with a plasma cutter. I have some pictures posted in my photo section showing the sliders, frame and a few trails around the Phoenix area.
They cost $514.00 plus $40.00 for the powdercoating. The "normal" Kong sliders are $349.00 but mine are 82" in length and 3/16" (.188) thick tubing whereas the "normal" sliders are 1/8" (.120) thick tubing and 76" in length for the Tundra. I needed (wanted) the 3/16" tubing as I feel they will hold up a lot better when I use the slider to pivot the Tundra (with its longer wheel base) around "obstacles".
Yep! Today I am figuring out the frame mounting locations. I figure 4 per side will do the trick. One part of the frame up front is enclosed so if I bolt them on I will have to use self tapping bolts. I still have not decided if I want to weld them, on or bolt them on. It would actually be easier to weld them on.
It only took me about 3 hours to do all the cutting, but it shredded my chop saw blade when a piece moved and torqued it

Well, I got the passenger side sliders on! I hate daylight savings time and 5pm sunsets. I do still need to finish up some of the welds, but its on there!!
