I had the same dash ratten in my 2002 S-Runner. At one point the dealer did the Toyota fix under warranty. They replaced part of the entire dash and did some other stuff. They had the truck for a few days. It lasted about a week and started rattling again. I remembered the backrod trick which I read a few years ago. Put the backrod in and not more noise.

After putting the caulking back rod in place, can it be removed as easily as it was installed???

My 04 Tundra with 41K just developed an annoying rattle somewhere between the radio and passenger airbag. I removed the glovebox and radio and ac controls, ashtray etc drove around but it still rattles. Any ideas? Thanks
