i'm dissappointed once again at the lack of options for our trucks. they need to make LED taillights for our trucks and projector type headlights..
obviously Toyota only represents a small big of the full size truck market share, but I really feel that there is still money in it if companies actually make the products we want. i would really like to put LED taillights and projector headlamps on my truck for HID purposes if it was offered..maybe someday. but most of all i hope the aftermarket options grow for the new 2007 tundra..
i hope toyota realizes that a strong aftermarket presence creates sales!!!
i second that, and what sux for me is i have a stepside.
i just caved in and got some cheapy led 3157 replacements for my tail lamps. after a little routing with a dremel to fit the oversized led lamps, a shopvac to suck out the routed debris from the tail lamp housing, it still doesnt have the WOW look i was expecting. did i forget to mention i had to remove the taillight assembly to do the routing?

I believe at SEMA there was a company that will be making LED taillights for pre 07 Tundra's. V8GEORGIA (or some variation of that name, I forget the exact name ) made a couple posts about it.

really!!?? i'll have talk to him about that..good ol eric. takin pictures or everything as usual.
and i don't want tacky looking EURO ones like these..they draw sooo much attention away from your truck. it becomes a focal point. it needs to be tasteful and stock looking like the ones in my 1st post..
There's a new product called "SpiderLite", which allows you to use your factory taillight and simply replace the bulb with the LED "SpiderLite". No modifications are necessary. Simply insert the SpiderLite into the hole and it expands when in place. I haven't actually tried these lights, but they won a SEMA Award for best new exterior accessory. They have models for brake, tail, and turn signals. SPIDERLITE - Expanding LED Replacement Automotive Lightbulbs. If anyone trys these out, let me know what you think. Please send me a private message so I don't have to search for your reply.

I like the look of the Spiderlite. I'll have to get a couple to go with the replacement center mount brake light fixture on my utility cap. It's a 56 LED one. This thing glares if you look at it directly. I got it from SUPER BRIGHT LEDS home.

The Spiderlights look like they wouldn't be bright enough. I'd worry someone would rear end me. If anyone has these installed, please post your comments...
right now they are for the double cab only. a guy on ebay says he has regular and access cab ones and it shows a pic of them on an access cab truck, but i'm pretty sure its a photoshop. i asked him for pictures of the actual product, so we'll see. all of the other ones are double cab only taillights too. i wasn't really happy with the way these turned out tho, so i just smoked my tails instead.
Here are the ebay ones (made by eagle eyes) on my truck. Work great so far, and look great too! Now all we need are projector headlights. I'd buy those in an instant!
Picture of the parking lamp on
And at night. They are a lot brighter in person This is just with the parking lamps on.
this is just an update for those that were interested in this mod for their 1st gen Tundra ACCESS CABS only!! an LED tail light application has already been made for the 1st gen double cabs from 2004-2006..
eagle eyes has made a set for the 1st gen access cabs!!!
ehh...they are cool and i would've bought them years ago if they came out, but i've already upgraded to the 05 style from my 04's and i paid 120 dollars to tint those tails using 3m clear bra material and its perfect the way it is..i don't wanna back track and do that all again..
if not..i would be all over them...i love LED's and HID's..you know that!
