It seems like on this forum the Retrax covers are very popular, and there are only a few posts about Peragon's cover.
I'm very attracted to the Peragon cover and was wondering if anyone here uses one. The advantages I see over the Retrax are compatibility with TracRac (which I plan to purchase soon) and a lower price. I have a 2001 Tundra Limited (with factory bed rail caps).
I'd be especially grateful to hear from anyone who has DIRECT experience with both covers.
Waveman, I've had the Peragon cover on my Tundra for about 10 months and continue to be very pleased with it. If being water proof is a major concern for you, then this cover is not for you. It does leak. I chose the Peragon because I like the way it looks. It doesn't have the canister that are on other retractables. The Retrax looks real sharp!
Thanks Ktundra. I've actually decided to go with the Peragon cover. Among other things their customer service is outstanding. The president of the company takes most phone calls and is very thorough and helpful. I was impressed with both him and what I've read about the covers.
Will either you Waveman, or KTundra post a pic of your installed Peragon? I got quoted $695+ shipping and want to see one in person ideally before I order.
A member posted pictures of his Peragon cover on this site. Look in "My Photos" under lids, boxes, shells, and rack photos about 5 pages in. The member's name is "Colt". Good pictures of the Peragon cover. Good luck!
