Rough Idle and computer reset????

My battery recently came loose after a four wheel trip and since then the 94 LC has had a bad idle runs great at top speed but the lower end just grumbles.
I have had it happen before but after 5 or 10 miles it went away I guess the comp reset.
So here is the question do I need to disconect the battery for a certain amount of time and the hook it up?
Plus how long should it take to reset(the computer)
Sorry if this question has been asked before I tried a search and could find no definitive answer.

If that is the problem, resetting the computer usually just requires about a 10-15 minute disconnect.
