08 Land Cruiser on Toyota's site

Toyota now has the 08 Land Cruiser on their pressroom site and their normal Toyota site. Cant say I like this body better than the last. It just doesnt look rugged anymore.

I like it... 63k... yea, that's pricey. But I am sure it will be worth it. Lets wait and see where the lexus comes in at before we know if it will be worth the price. By only concern is, does it come with 4 wheel adjustable suspension still? Is that what the Kinetic Suspension is. If not, they took a step backwards there.

I've always been a big fan, and it seems like a really nice truck... but there just doesn't seem to be anything truly standout about it that screams over 63,000 dollars.

I really like it. I like all the features that it has. I have already forgotten about the previous gen model.

You are going to pay when Toyota upgrades to KDSS, 381hp, 28 HVAC vents, power this and that, 10 airbags, 8500lb tow capacity.

I agree. There are some shortcomings at this price level. This thing is still lacking advanced headlight systems in favor of the multi reflector halogen system. The likely response is that it is better suited for its rugged purposes, but HID should at least be an option. Also, notice the tires they are using. Good old Dunlop Grandtreks. They have been putting these on the 4runner for years and people have learned quickly how poor they perform and how fast they wear out. Why not a set of Michelins or Continentals?? Also, with the "Upgrade Package" that toyota lists as the only real option package, expect to see the price get up and over 70k. Try having a 4runner and a Tundra for the same price.

I agree with you, lets wait for the new Sequoia. But there are definitley some stand out things I like about the LC... Solid Rear Axle (unlike the new Sequoia), KDSS. I am a little upset that there is know load leveling suspension. I hope it hase some very HD progressive rear springs for when you tow 8,000+ pounds with it.

I have to say, a fully loaded Sequoia now costs over $45,000 add a 5.7 and a bigger overall vehicle I am sure the price will soar to $50,000+.

You can already get a "loaded" Sequoia these days for WELL over 50... 45 is about the base price of a limited, which comes with just about more than I need.

I love the land cruisers... I just wish toyota would offer the models they offer over seas.... I would be extremely content with a watered down version of the Cruiser.... I don't need all these gadgets.... Oh well.... I will stick with my Sequoia....
