Default 02-03 Navigation issues

I have a customer with a late 02, probably 03, Landcruiser that is having some Nav issues.

It came in and had a aux input installed into it, and during that process the battery was disconnected.

Ever since then, the navigation has been "off". Even after calibrating it right to the spot we're in, it still won't quite track correctly and stay on the road. It will be 10-15 feet behind on speed, will end up picking up the wrong streets, and before to long just be downright off somewhere else.

Has anyone run into this problem before? We're wondering if its related to the tire size having been changed which throws the speed sense off a tiny bit, or something off the wall like that? The dealership doesn't have an answer other than update the nav disc. I'm sure it needs updating, but it worked just fine before. The only thing the Aux in did was plug into the CD changer input on the back of the radio.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Mike

Tire size will definitely throw the GPS off. There should be a recalibration button for that issue in the menu and on some nav. units there is a learning stage the system has to go thru before its accurate.I don't have a Landcruiser, thats why I can't be specific.Adding the aux in had absolutely no bearing on the GPS problem, disconnecting the battery did it.
