09 Land Cruiser gains privacy glass

I work for Sarasota Toyota. Today I learned that the 2009 Land Cruiser will have rear privacy glass standard. This was also posted on Toyota's pressroom site.

"For 2009, the Land Cruiser full-size SUV adds factory privacy glass on the rear side and quarter windows as standard equipment. The base MSRP for the Land Cruiser will be $64,755, representing an increase of $655, or 1.0 percent."

I dont know why the 2008 models dont have it.

I actually prefer NOT to have it

That way, I can tint the windows to my liking

With rear only tint, you have a choice to either match the front with aftermarket tint or tint and get mixed matched windows

Like with my FZJ80, it originally had rear bronze tint, but I had the whole thing done limo tint (5%)

From the outside, the front windows look darker, but are easier to see through...

The rear windows look lighter, but are harder to see through....

This is due to the polarizing of the factory tint...

On the other hand, from the inside, it's much easier to see through the rear double tint than the front single tint
