Exclamation i need help with the spark plugs

hi
i have a toyota land cruiser v6 4500 EFI 71 and it has the denso K16tr11 spark plug on i would like to replace them with the trd spark plugs IK24 but i am confused becouse the orignal ones are 2 headed and thik head the trd ones have a fine tip and single head so if change them to the TRD will that harm my car ?? i dont really know the diffrnce between them unfrtunatly i have alreday bought the TRD one i thout they where the same .

Probably the wrong fourm, but the Deno's are most likley the Iridium plugs. The tip looks smaller but its alot better, the TRD ones are most likely the NGK plugs.

The second "head" is a back up in case one falls off.

hy gregory im from ne pa. bought my tacoma from the scranton dealer too any problems with the service there? ill be taking mine in for the first oil change.

The TRD ones are too cold for your application. 16 is your heat range, while the TRD ones are using a 24. Denso plugs are rated lower for hotter, and higher for colder (opposite of NGK). The TRD one is probably recommended for the supercharged 4.5L.

If you want iridiums, try SK16R11. It's OEM spec for Toyota, and will last quite a while.

Don't worry about the dual grounds. Toyota used these on some distributor-based V6/I6s and most early direct ignition motors w/ wasted spark to ensure proper firing. The smaller tip on the iridiums requires less voltage and doesn't need an additional ground.
