my 02 LC just resently stared ( yes i probably did it) chipping 4 times then a last blast 5-10 sec later when I hit the alarm? what's a boy to do? I liked it better when it only beeped twice

Is it built into the key?
What state are you in?
I need to know which alarm you have. Some states (gulf states use differant alarms).
Do you know if it was a Factory install or port installed, or added at the dealer?

If it beeps 3 times when unlocking it, it means someone has set off the alarm and it has reset itself.

it used to beep once? I think t's been a long time since it worked "right" a week, may be twice
but NOW it beeps 4 times the the delayed beep total 5 irritating times, i thought i read that there was a way to change the deeps?????

I have rear thru the whole alarm book w/install and diag instructions and it doesnt explain the beeps anywhere.
I have asked a freind of mine at Toyoyta Denver Region, but he is having trouble finding this info as well.
