Any way to rig an iPod into 2006 LC stereo?

Hey folks, just picked up my first LC -- 2006 Land Cruiser here in the US (bought a dealer demo through a friend). This truck has *everything* & I'm a little embarrassed to admit that it would be cool to have a direct line into the stereo system for an iPod. My guess is that if this were a Lexus version, it would have the iPod port (note that even Toyota minivans have these things now, so not sure why the LC doesn't).

Anyway, I've seen some aftermarket gizmos for $300, but my LC has the 6CD/DVD changer in the console as well as XM satellite, for which this gizmo doesn't work (see http://www.soundgate.com/index.php?r...categoryid=222) -- so, the big question is, has anyone dared to rip apart the dash of a new LC in the quest to hook up a new iPod?!

And, yeah, I could (and now *do*) use a cassette adapter, but I'm on a mission to figure this one out regardless.
