Default My alarm is driving me insane!

1st post - sorry for the novella

Here's the story - my key fob (only one) got wet & is toast.
I've been locking & unlocking my 95 Landcruiser for the past
year & a half.

For whatever reason, my alarm tripped while in my driveway.
Without a key fob, I cut the wire to the horn & that shut it down.
Then my guess is, the vehicle is not sure what is happening at this
point (is someone stealing me?) so it shuts down the ignition when
I try to start it. This happens 50% of the time - the other 50%, no
problem at all.

A friend suggested I remove the fuse to the alarm. This was the day
all this happened when I tried to start my car & although the alarm horn wasn't sounding, the lights were flashing, a clicking noise was going off & my Cruiser sounded as if the starter was all screwed up & it
wouldn't turn over.

Long story short, I've put the fuse back in, now that I realized if I open the door when trying to start the cruiser (if it won't turn over) it will.
Then I only have to deal with maddening clicking noise that seems to stop once it reaches speeds over 40MPH - & then returns once it goes below 40.

Oh, and the doors will lock & unlock periodically as well.

What the heck is going on?!

I'm guessing that my only solution may be to buy a new keyFOB ($100) & have the dealer reprogram ($100) and then this thing just
might reset itself - if not, what then?

Thanks,
Aaron

shoulda sprang for the replacement fob, i did. i know it cost bank but you gotta do what you gotta do eh.

sounds like your anti theft deterrent system is trying to kick in, or your cruiser is possesed.

so let me get this right, you have to open the door to start the engine, and the starter still makes clicking noises at highway speeds? sounds like your ride is trying to train you to do tricks.
