I'm new to this forum. Does anyone have information on best place to purchase online TRD Supercharger for 96 Land Cruiser. The dealer here wants $3500 + $1200 install. Is the installation that difficult? Thank you!

I have installed two TRD SC's so far and found each to be a straight forward install with a well thought out kit. The first was my 2000 Taco, the second my 2001 Tundy V8. I think you can tackle it with average mechanical skills and a helper with good tools!

Dan, parts employee for American Toyota in New Mexico, offers competitive prices. He is a big LC fan, who owns a super charged FJ 80. He can also help with any technical questions.
If you didn't know already, make sure your cooling system is up to snuff, that you may get a head gasket leak if your engine has many miles on it with the original gasket, and that you will have to run premium fuel.
For extensive information regarding supercharging a LC, check out the IH8MUD.com forum board.
Ditto on Dan (CruiserDan) at American Toyota, I think your supercharger price may suprise you from him.
You may want to join IH8mud forums as well (a ton of LC info there) you will see CDan referenced often for parts there(plus you get a forum discount!)
