Transmission problems with the 2007 ES350?

I have read a number of threads in the various Lexus forums in which complaints have been made regarding transmission failures in and requiring replacements for the 2007 ES350.

When I questioned the dealership from whom I purchsed my ES350 in June 2007 about what I had read. They told me that the transmission failures had been corrected soon after the car had been marketed and that my car with its build date of April 2007 should not encounter this problem.

If this is fact and not salesman's fiction then there is a lot of erroneous information being written in the forums.

I really like and enjoy my ES350. It has stylish lines, tasteful interior and is fully equipped with so very many features.

It would be a shame if people were scared off from considering this car as a result of invalid information being transmitted on the internet.
