Default Lexus LS400 Hi! Everyone

Hellow everyone. I'm new to this but I should get the hang of it fairly quickly. I'm from Australia & I have an 1996 LS 400 sedan. I am having over heating problems. While driving along the cabin heater remains cold even on hot setting. All of a sudden the tempture gauge will rise quickly towards high, then the heater will come on & the tempture gauge will quickly go back to normal. It boiled once and the thermo fan on the front of the radiator did'nt seem to be working. Any help would be appreciated. I don't have a workshop manual for it. I wish I did.

Sound's like you need to change out your cooling Thermostat Out and replace it the fan would very likely go on when needed But I'm really Not sure How the 4.0 liter v8 used on the Lexus is. PM eddie (moderator) he works within a Lexus Dealership ....
