HELP! I need to get an O2 sensor for bank 2 sensor 1. However, when I call around to see if anyone has this part in stock no one seems to quite understand what I need. Can someone let me know how to convey which O2 sensor it is that I need. Also, the code that is coming up is P1155 (A/F sensor heater circuit bank 2 sensor 1). If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
Seems straightforward to me -- you need one of the front (forward of the cat) O2 sensors. sparkplugs.com has the NGK versions. Spendy little suckers, 'tho -- $380 a pop. Must figure since you're driving a Lexus you're made of money or something.
I called the dealership and asked about the problem, they seem to think it is the fuel ratio sensor, not the O2 sensor. What is the difference between the two? The Dealership also said I would not be able to buy that part anywhere else (of course). Any ideas?

Ain't no such beast as a "fuel ratio sensor". The P1155 code is diagnostic of a problem with the A/F sensor (air / fuel ratio sensor). The A/F sensors are fancier beasts than the old O2 sensors, but they fulfill the same mission -- the computer uses them to monitor the emissions before the catalytic converter, and trim the amount of fuel being injected to get close to the optimal A / F ratio for best emissions performance.
I'd ask the dealer what their price for the part is, but the NGK part on sparkplugs.com is listed as OEM equivalent, so it should work without any particular fuss.
If / when the sensor upstream of the Cat Convertor goes bad, ECM has no feedback where to set mixture... this error can cause your Cat Convertor to burn completly out (will look like open pipe)... I know this one from experience

What you need is NOT an 02 sensor, it IS
DTC P1155 A/F Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1) There is a difference and they are not interchangable. You need the Upper sensor (before the cat) on the bank of cylinders closest to the radiator.
Print this picture and show someone.
The part number is printed on the sensor itself. Very tiny, but it's there.

Are these Sensors Interchangeable with a 2002 Toyota Highlander V6? Considering that they seem to have similar engines, i would think this part could very well fit into a highlander engine?
Hi,
Can anyone help pls, I have p1155 fault code opn my lexus rx300, 2001 model. 3ltr V6
Is the toyota 89467-48011 part number stamped on sensor body, which is a denso, the same sensor as 89467-41011.
Many sites seem to suggest that it is., both being Denso 234-9009.
The reason I am asking is that I can buy the first for £186.00 + vat, from the lexus dealer, whereas the second from the toyota dealer is only £135 + vat.
If anyone can help I would be obliged. Rock Auto in your part of the world lists the 41011 for my vehicle but with (Calif) after the part number, which Im thopught maybe just a local thing.
Pls help if you can.
thks Malcolm

89467-48011 will NOT interchange. This crosses over to a TOYOTA HIGHLANDER 2001 and nothing else.
The 41011 is for a Sienna /Camry and they are different.
The A/F internal Heater circuit is different, the length of the wire is also different.
P1155 is for BANK 2 sensor 1, It is located on the bank of cylinders closest to the radiator and it is the top sensor.
I do not recommend using the cheaper, incorrect part number sensor, it may cause more issues than it is worth.
Just my .02
