Default 2000 ES300 P0306 #6 misfire

I have a 2000 ES 300 with a Check engline light and "TRAC OFF" light. I have a scan tool with a p0306 Cylinder 6 misfore detected. it idles rough and i can smell an odor.

facing the car, back head, farthest to right. if you want to be sure the coil is the problem, swap it to one on the front bank and start it back up, your misfire should move to that cylinder.

Thanks for the reply! we did replace the spark plugs, wow it was tough, but still have the cynder 6 misfire. So we brought it to the dealer. I will give you an update.

Actually , facing car, hood open, it is the front cylinder head closest to the radiator and the last cylinder farthest to the right.

You probably have a bad injector or coil
Swapping coils is a great idea, if it doesnt move the misfire then 99% of the time it is the injector.

yes dur im being retarded its the front bank. hope i didnt make your life hard! it is the coil it happens all the time. if you need to save some cash grab a couple off a camry at the pick n pull.

Thanks for your info! I did take it to the dealer, it cost me $500 for parts & labor! but its all good. What can cause a coil to fail?

Its normal they all do it, usually its aftermarket plugs that cause the coils to overheat.
