Post Windsheild Wipers

Hello fellow Lexus owners.

I own a 2005 ES330. I am currently using stock wipers and stock blades. Pretty happy with them so far, but I replace my blades three or four times a year.

I have been considering Valeo or sticking with the stock blades.

Has anybody tried this Valeo? What would you advise?

Thanks in advance for the help.

when you say blades im thinking your talking about the blade assembly, the part that snaps onto the wiper arm. just to be sure you know, the wiper insert itself is available, and theyre pretty easy to change. is there a reason you are changing them so often, or just personal preference? as far as the valeo's or any aftermarket, imo youre splitting hairs with any advantages you may find. bear in mind this advice is coming from a guy who's had the same blades for 3 years, two are torn off and one is torn about halfway across.

Hey there.

I only change the inserts if possible. I work in the automotive development industry. For safe, clean, and non-skittering wipers the inserts should be changed every three to four months. Really it depends upon various environmental factors, but that is the general rule of thumb.

Unfortunately the industry rarely employs the high end wiper inserts. They go for cheap and functional to improve prices and bottom lines.

Lexus however actually uses Valeo on their higher end models (LS) as the factory standard.

Soooo.

I am just wondering if anyone in the forums has tried the Valeos on a lowly ES like mine.

Didn't mean to be vague.

I use Bosch Icons and I think Costco is selling them now under a different name. I have switch back and forth between the stock IS and the Bosch and without doubt the Bosch wiper assy is much better, rain or snow. IMHO
