Default winter tire and wheel setup "cheap" (under a grand)

For anyone thinking about winter tires, but you don't want to drop your whole summer rim budget, here is a good way to go.

There are lots of pics as well as my reasons for going this route and the driving experience once the setup is complete.

I posted this in the Wheel and Tire forum as well. Thought I should repost here since it is really more of a HOW - TO showing the details of lug nuts you need and the clearances and performance observations on an 04 DC. Moderator, feel free to move or delete as necessary.
